Champion Reverse Weave: Made to Last
Share
Since its founding in the 1919 by the Feinbloom brothers, Champion has had a focus on making innovative, durable athletic wear. Champion's iconic Reverse Weave was developed in 1938 in response to coaches' complaints about the shrinking caused by frequently washing uniforms. The Reverse Weave's horizontal rather than vertical knitting technique not only reduced shrinkage, but increased durability. For this reason, many older vintage Reverse Weave pieces can still be found today in great condition, much more so than other athletic wear from the same time period. These qualities, along with their accessibility, make Campion Reverse Weave coveted vintage pieces.
We get Reverse Weave sweatshirts and sweatpants in periodically and even have a couple crewnecks on the site right now!
