Steal Their Style: 90s Edition

Steal Their Style: 90s Edition

Today we’re kicking off our first style steal post. Looking back at fashion icons from different eras is one of our favorite ways to get inspired, and we’re starting with the effortlessly cool style of the 90s.

1. Devon Aoki: Butter Yellow, Red & Brown Combo

Our first muse is Devon Aoki. She’s an American model and actress who emerged as a fashion icon in the late 1990s, known for her cool aura and dynamic runway presence. At just 16, she replaced Naomi Campbell as the face of Versace and became a muse for designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Alexander McQueen, walking for top fashion houses like Chanel, Balenciaga, and Comme des Garçons. She later cemented her pop culture status with her unforgettable role as Suki, the bold and fearless street racer, in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003).

Here, we’re inspired by her color palette—butter yellow, warm brown, and a subtle pop of red. You can channel the same vibe with different textures, like these brown vintage Lee corduroy pants from our shop. The corduroy keeps it casual and understated, while still feeling intentional.

2. Julia Roberts: Floral Maxi Dress & Cardigan Combo

Next up is Julia Roberts. She’s an American actress who became one of Hollywood’s most iconic leading women in the 1990s, known for her radiant smile, magnetic screen presence, and girl-next-door charm. She rose to international fame with roles in hit films like Pretty Woman (1990), My Best Friend’s Wedding (1997), and Notting Hill (1999), solidifying her status as a romantic comedy legend.

She’s pictured here in a floral maxi dress, cozy cardigan, and a statement necklace that still feels effortless. We recreated the look using a reversible floral maxi dress from our shop. Pair it with 90s-inspired platform sandals, a casually thrown on cardigan, and a necklace of your choice.

3. Jennifer Aniston: Graphic Tee & Vintage Sunglasses Combo

Last but not least, we have the beloved Jennifer Aniston. She became a household name in the 1990s for her role as Rachel Green on Friends, which made her a style icon and earned her widespread acclaim. Her charm, comedic timing, and the iconic “Rachel” haircut helped define '90s pop culture, making her one of the most recognizable faces of the era.

Her on-screen style as Rachel often mirrored her off-screen looks—casual, effortless, yet always well put together. Here she’s wearing a graphic baby tee and low-profile rectangular sunglasses, a simple combo that still feels intentional. For our version, we paired this Earthkeepers vintage baby tee with some '70s denim wide-leg flares from our shop.
